Overview

Brandisy is an independent product that generates a professional brand kit from a short business idea: logo, colors, typography, usage guidelines, and packaged assets.

Context

I built it for founders and small businesses that need a usable identity quickly, without a design engagement, and that still want files they can drop into a site, an app, or a store.

My role

I own product direction, the generation flow, the web app, billing, and deployment as creator and full-stack developer.

Ownership

End-to-end ownership of the Next.js product: marketing pages, the multi-step brand flow, OpenAI generation, Supabase accounts and saved brands, and Pro checkout.

Problem

A new business usually needs a name, a logo, a palette, and type before it can publish anything. Those pieces are easy to leave inconsistent, and hiring a designer is slow for an early idea.

Contribution

  • Built a guided flow from a business idea through industry, name, logo, color, and typography.
  • Generated downloadable assets: SVG and PNG logos, color palettes, font pairings, favicons, and a brand-guidelines PDF in a ZIP.
  • Added account login and a dashboard so generated brands can be saved and revisited.
  • Shipped a free Basic tier and a one-time Pro upgrade through Dodo Payments.
  • Published industry landing pages and a blog aimed at e-commerce, agencies, and restaurants.

Technical decisions

  • Next.js App Router for the marketing site, the brand flow, and generation APIs.
  • OpenAI on the server so model keys stay out of the browser.
  • Supabase for authentication and stored brand kits.
  • Client-side asset packaging for logos, palettes, and PDF guidelines.

Challenges

  • Turning a short idea into a coherent name, mark, palette, and type system.
  • Keeping generated files practical: SVG, PNG, favicon, and a guidelines PDF.
  • Separating a usable free tier from the paid download without blocking the flow.

Outcome

  • A shipping brand-kit product at brandisy.io, from prompt to downloadable identity.
  • Another end-to-end case of product, AI, auth, and payments in one codebase.
